Do it like a Beauty Boss.
Green dreams roll thru.
What if we told you there was a magic place where you could work, workout, get your nails done (for free!), huddle up in a huddle room with co-workers, grab snacks from a FULLY-stocked snack room, and also, if you're a new mom, pump in private? Well, guess what? For the 98% female employees at the Kendra Scott HQ in Austin, TX that's their every day. Don't believe us? Take a quick peruse through the amazing gallery above (including shots of Kendra's gorgeous office as well). It's like an office version of The Wing. Where you also get paid.
DREAM JOBS? They're real. As Kendra Scott told us last month during our #CreateCultivateSXSW dinner her gorgeous office space, “You’re having dinner inside my dream. I was told ‘no’ so many times— that you can’t be a brand out of Texas.”
“But,” she said with a smile, “I love it when someone tells me I can’t do something.”

Spring of 2015 now goes down in tech history as the advent of “lifestreaming,” or livestreaming daily activity through mobile devices. Meerkat launched in February, and as the official app of SXSW Interactive, quickly became the new social magnet, attracting brands, digital strategists, and early adopters alike. A few weeks later, in March, new-to-market Periscope was dominating downloads. The one-year-old startup which was purchased in January by Twitter in an effort to fight its decline in user acquisition, became the biggest competitor to Meerkat overnight.
We could wax on forever about the virtues of books: they're portable, they feel good in your hands, they look good in your apartment, they give you a chance to get off the internet—and most importantly—you learn something. That's why we're kicking off Create & Cultivate Book Club! Each month, we'll pick a book (we're also open to suggestions!) and invite you to read along, and in a couple of weeks, we'll check back in to see what you think. At the end of the month, we'll wrap it up and discuss how/if the book was applicable to us and what we were able to apply.
By now, you know that we're super excited to head to the Windy City for #createcultivateCHI! We asked C+C Mentor—and one of our favorite Chi-town bloggers—Liz Adams of Sequins & Stripes, for some must-see spots while we're in town.
Read below for her top spots from dog-watching to pregnancy cravings and catch Liz in person at Create + Cultivate on August 15th. Ah! So soon!
