6 Confidence-Boosting Tips to Help You Rise to Six Figures

You’ve got big dreams and big money goals, too. But something is getting in the way of you reaching that next phase in your business or career. Maybe you feel stuck, in a lull, or perhaps you’re just getting started and you feel like you don’t know what the heck you’re doing. Well, I’m here to remind you that you DO know what you’re doing and that your dreams are yours for a reason. You’re meant to do this work, and you’re meant to be rewarded for it, financially. 

For many entrepreneurs, business owners, and doers, hitting six figures is a huge milestone in business. When I hit six figures, I cried tears of joy and immediately high-fived my sister—who was running the business with me at the time. (For context, we only brought in $20,000 the year prior, so we really broke a huge ceiling!). So, what does it take to reach that six-figure mark? Keep scrolling because I’m going to let you in on my secrets to money confidence.

1. Start big—by increasing your prices.

If you haven’t hit $100,000 yet in your business, that’s a good sign that your rates are too low. Believe in yourself enough to raise your rates today. If you’re maxed out on hours that you can or would like to be working, and you’re starting to feel exhausted, it’s another sign to press go!

If you want to raise them on certain packages or products first, go for it! Or if you want to raise them with new clients versus existing ones, try that too. Either way, you need some amount of tiered pricing where you have a higher ticket amount available. In some cases, the price increase can be across the entire business.

2. Own your pricing and your worth.

Once you raise your rates, you must get confident in communicating them and owning that this is now part of your business and brand. Remind yourself that you are here to live your dream AND to be appreciated and compensated for it. Your work is valuable, and so are you. The more you believe this (really believe it), the more people around you will also believe it—and line up to work with you. Own your pricing, and don’t turn back!

3. Experiment with new offerings.

It’s never too late—or too early—to launch something new in your business. Try launching new products or services without any attachment to the outcome. If you’re in a lull and you feel like you’re walking in circles around money, it’s time to diversify your offerings. 

If you’re in the services business, consider launching a new group program, event, or offer; something new and valuable to your audience. If you’re in the product world, consider launching a new branch of your products or a limited edition design that will spark something in YOU. 

4. Have FUN while pushing your limits.

When you expand or launch something new, make sure you’re having FUN and you’re not focusing all your energy on numbers and turnout. It’s easy to forget that you’re supposed to be having fun while running your business. And if you’re not, then it’s time to try new things to tap into more joy when building your business. 

Think of it this way, not having fun while running your business is like spending your weekends in the grocery store—you’d rather be somewhere else! And that’s just not the type of energy you want to be putting out there.

5. Find people who believe in you.

Find women who have done it before, who will challenge you, and who will cheer you on. Whether this is a teacher, mentor, family member, or friend, you need someone in your corner who is helping to teach you new things. Because (and this may sting) the truth is that you don’t know everything. It truly takes a village! 

And if you’re an entrepreneur, you DEFINITELY have room to learn. After all, entrepreneurship can feel like a huge question mark. But if you’re ambitious, like me, and you want to keep growing, believe me, it’s critical to be open to learning from someone and asking for help. No one built ANYTHING hugely successful without mentors, guides, friends, or a team.

6. Whatever you do, don’t give up.

If you’re not at six figures yet in your business, don’t give up. Chances are, you’re closer than you think you are. And if you stay the course, seven figures will be your next goal. And if that sounds crazy, maybe you’re not dreaming big enough!

Stay the course and remind yourself how powerful you are—because you ARE powerful. When you need a lift, go ahead and read the self-help books, watch the YouTube videos, and dive into the confidence tools to help you stay focused on your vision. You are the creator of your life. The power is in your hands, and you can create any type of success that you want. (And you can quote me on that!)

That’s it, really! But here’s the last thing you need to remember: finding success can be easier than you think. Yes, it’s going to take hard work. Yes, you will work late nights and miss out on sleep building your dream. But reaching your goals CAN be easier when you believe that you will reach them and give yourself a break once in a while.
