Director of Production

Overview: Full Time 
Level:  Senior
Reporting to: SVP, Operations and Brand Experience

Create & Cultivate is seeking a Director of Production to join its growing, fast-paced team.  This is a remote position, with frequent travel to be expected.  Reporting to the SVP, Operations and Brand Experience, the ideal candidate has the ability to manage and coordinate all aspects of both virtual and IRL large-scale events from ideation through execution – including budget management to ensure profit margins are maintained – and has extensive experience doing so.  They are both an analytical and creative thinker with a keen eye for detail; an organized and meticulous multi-tasker that has strong communication skills and leadership qualities, and the ability to collaborate with a multitude of departments and team members to successfully execute events.  Prior management experience is required.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Build, manage, and execute project budgets up to $2MM+ maintaining profit margins 
  • Work closely with SVP, Operations and Brand Experience to ensure company’s financial goals remain on track
  • Ensure timely cost reporting to SVP throughout the duration of a project through budget close, inclusive of AP submission and tracking
  • Lead production on C&C proprietary events such as conferences and summits, as well as select bespoke events.  Oversee events lead by Senior Producer and/or freelance producer when applicable. 
  • Research and obtain any permits necessary surrounding an event, as well as stay to-date on safety protocols and ensure they are implemented accordingly 
  • Develop production schedules, ROS, and staffing documents
  • Ability to supervise teams of production professionals through pre-production, production and post-production
  • Oversee and manage logistics for virtual events
  • Source and negotiate venue and vendor contracts with oversight from SVP
  • Work closely with Associate Creative Director surrounding event creative to ensure designs are within budget, as well as to find creative solutions when negotiating with and/or selecting vendors
  • Manage vendors and timelines
  • Effectively analyze project needs and implement
  • Actively contribute to the development of detailed workback schedules for all projects, collaborating with Senior team members in each respective department(s) involved 
  • Direct day-to-day management of in-house and freelance producers
  • Work collaboratively to establish and streamline processes internally between departments to enhance efficiency of workflow
  • Participate in internal and external project calls, ensuring production updates are within agendas  
  • Effectively analyze situations and implement real-time solutions

What You’ll Have: 

  • 8+ years of proven event production experience, with at least 2 at a senior/EP level
  • Agency experience required, knowledge and experience producing large-scale conferences preferred 
  • Deep understanding of various event models across IRL and digital 
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead  and mentor direct reports
  • A solution-oriented mindset and strong assessment skills with the ability to make strategic suggestions and/or escalate accordingly 
  • Clear communicator with a skill set to oversee and/or run point multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thorough understanding of permitting standards (Including but not limited to TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety, Building & Safety, Noise, etc.) and ability to successfully manage production timelines and needs as related to permit procurement
  • Proficiency working with Asana (or other similar management tool)

Social Media Manager

Create & Cultivate is seeking a Social Media Manager to join its growing, fast-paced team.  This is a remote position, with frequent travel to be expected surrounding events. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day ideation, creation, and execution of content for @createcultivate social media channels, as well as community engagement.   They will actively contribute to the company’s overarching social media strategy and KPI meetings, providing insights, data, and analytics to continually grow and enhance Create & Cultivate’s digital presence.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop social content calendar for @createcultivate, inclusive of sourcing on-brand imagery and the creation original graphics (with in-house graphic designer) as well as copy writing for captions across organic and sponsored content. 
  • Schedule posts – and manually post if/as needed – ensuring the minimum daily posting cadence is maintained 
  • Day-to-day management across all social channels: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube
  • Engage with social communities to drive favorable conversations, ensuring brand-related questions, comments, and opportunities are addressed with speed, good judgment, and in alignment with brand stakeholders and guidelines
  • Development and implementation of actionable plans surrounding follower growth and retention, including the analyzation and presentation of data to support plans 
  • Attend weekly calls (internal + client-facing) for events and campaigns, actively contributing to agendas, updates and overall conversation surrounding social media components
  • Take notes during client calls and make recommendations based on goals and needs
  • Create social ROS for events, and execute accordingly ensuring all key C&C moments and sponsor obligations are clearly outlined and met
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Marketing surrounding shot list creation for events
  • Build project timelines within workbacks and/or Asana, ensuring creative is briefed accordingly when/as needed 
  • Screengrabbing and organizing any success metrics related to events and/or campaigns 
  • Gather analytics and reporting (social captures, pageviews, campaign highlights) from internal teams for wrap reports upon campaign completion
  • Track social live links across all campaigns ensuring they go live as scheduled + performing optimally
  • Develop new strategies for reporting, identifying key information, best practices, competitive activity and trends, as well as tools for efficient reporting

What You’ll Have: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role managing multiple platforms with follower counts of 500k+

Responsibilities:

Senior Manager, Talent Relations

This full-time role lives and breathes talent (both celebrity and influencer, as well as Founders, CEOs and entrepreneurs) for all things C&C – events and speaking opps, brand partnerships, campaigns and paid posts.  This mid-level role is for someone with experience who is also a doer and is eager to learn.  They are highly organized with strong communication skills and can work cross-functionally with other team members and departments across projects. 

 Key Responsibilities are including, but not limited to:

  • Assist with the negotiation and drafting of talent deal points – both for monetary and in-kind – under the guidance of General Manager and CEO

  • Build talent trackers, continually updating across digital and bespoke events with support from Talent Coordinator

  • Attend kick-off and weekly calls (internal and external) for new campaign briefings and coordination of action items in regards to talent and paid talent social media

  • Take notes during client calls and make recommendations based on goals and needs

  • Research and outreach for talent surrounding all events and speaking opps, brand partnerships, campaigns and paid posts

  • Work closely with Accounts, Marketing and Editorial/Content to build project timelines, contributing key details pertaining to talent
