The Australian-born creative launched her label after moving to Los Angeles with her husband, With just a $900 investment, she created one of the most IT-girl loved jewelry brands from a desire to channel her eye for timeless design into something distinctly her own.

Since then, Heaven Mayhem’s pieces have been seen on the likes of Lori Harvey, Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski. Today, Heaven Mayhem synonymous with effortless chic. As Mance enters her “mom-to-be era,” she reflects on the lessons she inherited from her mother. The most important of which is that true style has less to do with trends and more to do with confidence. Read about Pia Mance’s journey in the C&C 100 interview below.

What’s an early memory that shaped how you see or understand fashion today?

From an early age I watched my mom care for pieces in her wardrobe with such intention and appreciation for quality. Pieces from 15 to 20 years ago have been kept so well, which taught me that great style is timeless and meant to be treasured.

Describe the ‘aha’ moment that inspired you to launch your jewelry brand?

Living and travelling with my boyfriend, now husband running a family business, the topic of being your own boss and running a brand was an everyday thing. We moved to Los Angeles and I wanted to have my own creative outlet and become my own boss, that's when Heaven Mayhem was born.

How has your personal style evolved over time? Who or what has been most influential in shaping your approach to fashion and accessories?

I have pieces in my wardrobe I have worn over the years again and again, yet there are pieces in there I would never wear again. My stylist Georgina Downe and I have quarterly fittings and wardrobe cleanouts to start fresh and have room to try new brands and styles. We love to look into vintage archives from our favorite brands and create moodboards for the upcoming season.

Name a celebrity or influencer that you think is having an “It Girl” moment in fashion right now.

Sarah Pidgeon!! She is having a major moment in the fashion world, and really all over social media. She played the role of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy with such grace, and I love how that effortless, refined energy is translating to her style today.

The fashion industry is known to be one of the toughest industries to break into. How did you manage to reach this level of success while remaining true to yourself?

I always wear brands that I am a fan of and love posting what I'm loving in fashion at the time. Whether that may be a coat, a new bag, or a coffee table accessory. Brand teams have reached out to me after seeing social posts and I have had the pleasure of building long-lasting relationships with brands over the years.

What advice would you give someone who is struggling to find their signature style?

Pay attention to what you always reach for, what makes you feel the most you, and build from there. Don’t force it, experiment, keep what feels effortless, and the rest let go. If you feel confident wearing it, it's your style!

What’s one word that describes the era your career is in?

Mom to be era! I recently announced my pregnancy and couldn’t be more grateful for this gift and timing. At Heaven Mayhem we are in our “elevate” era. Always thinking of new ways to give our community the best of Heaven and bring them along the journey with us.

What’s one accessory that can make or break an outfit?

I never leave the house without my finishing touches, and accessories always make an outfit for me. Whether that be a pair of earrings, a necklace, a laptop case or your phone case from Heaven Mayhem.

In your opinion, what is the secret ingredient to having longevity in fashion?

I think wearing what you feel best in and most yourself is the key to having longevity in fashion. If a trend doesn’t feel like you, skip it and don’t forget to have fun with it.
