IF YOU’VE EVER FALLEN DOWN A TikTok RABBIT HOLE ABOUT BRAND STRATEGY, CREATOR ECONOMICS, OR WHY CERTAIN COMPANIES dominate culture,

CHANCES ARE YOU’VE COME ACROSS Sammi Cohen.

The content creator and CEO built a loyal audience of ambitious young professionals eager to understand the business world in a way that actually feels exciting. After leaving her corporate role at Amazon, Cohen fully bet on herself, turning her passion for content creation into a rapidly growing media platform that now includes her podcast, Social Currency, where she interviews executives shaping some of today’s biggest brands.

Equal parts creator, entrepreneur, and modern media personality, Cohen is proving that business content doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly polished to resonate. Read about Sammi Cohen’s journey in her C&C 100 interview below.

When did you decide you wanted to build your own brand instead of going the traditional 9-5 route?

I knew that when I was spending every waking moment outside of my corporate job thinking about creating content that I should make the leap to pursue it full-time. I was spending every morning before work, in between meetings, and evenings after work coming up with short video content, and it was clear that my passion was much stronger for creating content than it was for my corporate job at Amazon.

We see you as a rising star who has accomplished so much in a short time—what hard work and sacrifices have you made over the last year that really paid off?

I invested in building out my podcast, Social Currency, which launched in May 2025. I also left my job at Amazon last year, so this past year has really been about diversifying my media streams and building different types of content for my audience. This past year has been the year of saying yes to as many opportunities as possible. I called 2025 my “sprinting” year. I traveled a ton for work, went to many conferences and summits, and was very much leaning into whatever opportunities came my way. Being so external helped to get me in front of new audiences, speak with interesting guests for my show, and helped to differentiate what I’m building.

Going after what you deserve in life takes confidence and guts. What has helped you build trust in your own instincts as more opportunities come your way?

I think confidence comes from repeated execution on what you say that you’re going to do. And I think with every podcast taping, video filming and piece of content that I put out, I get more confident in my abilities to create and build. My advice to anyone who is looking to build confidence and learn to trust their own instincts is to do the thing you want to do even if you're afraid. You only conquer the fear and gain the confidence once you get into execution mode and actually start moving forward.

“I think confidence comes from repeated execution on what you say that you’re going to do.”

What’s been your “I can’t believe this is my life” moment lately?

Sitting down with some of my recent podcast guests. I recently had the CEO of Coach, and the President of Shopify on the show. I am obsessed with talking and learning about these businesses, so I am still blown away by the fact that I have the opportunity to speak with the leaders that are driving these businesses. Outside of the podcast with my day-to-day life, I’m so grateful for the fact that I get to do what I love every day, get paid to talk about my favorite topics, and then interact with my audience (who are the smartest, most interesting people on the internet).

When you’re feeling insecure, afraid, or just not up to the task at hand, what gives you strength to push through anyway?

I go back to my support system: my husband, my family, my friends. I’m really lucky to have such strong people in my corner, and they are great at reminding me about my “why” and cheering me on when I’m feeling overwhelmed.

What’s currently on your vision board (literally or mentally)?

The next business that I’m launching (will share more over the next few months!)

Where do you hope to be five years from now?

Creating different types of content that reaches millions of people, and empowers them to learn, study, and talk about business in a way that excites them.
