ONE THING ABOUT Tricia Lee?
SHE KNOWS SHE’S dope, AND HONESTLY THE REST OF THE WORLD IS finally CATCHING UP.
If New York real estate had a main character right now, it might just be Tricia Lee. The luxury broker and breakout star of Owning Manhattan has quickly become one of the most compelling personalities on-screen: equal parts powerhouse negotiator, style icon, and unapologetic boss.
Tricia is realistic about the sacrifices it takes to be successful, the intuition that guides every major move she makes, and why she’s learned to romanticize the life she’s building in real time. Read about Tricia Lee’s journey in her C&C 100 interview below.
How has being on a show as massive as Owning Manhattan helped amplify your career?
OM has served as a 24-hour commercial that is seen worldwide for my business as well as my personal brand. I have to say that I am fortunate to have had this level of reach at such a pinnacle time in my career. That said, you do have to be mentally (and spiritually) prepared to put yourself out to the public in such a way. This isn’t for the weak. Let me also say that.
We see you as a rising star who has accomplished so much in a short time—what hard work and sacrifices have you made over the last year that really paid off?
I would say Season 2 of OM was harder than the first season, and honestly from start to finish for me. I was managing the sales growth from Season 1 and also filming Season 2 fulltime. I was constantly trying to improve my processes, client service and personal contribution to the show. There was so little balance with my life and time. I had a really difficult schedule for an extended period of time but I knew that going into it and just put my head down. I walked away ranking as one of my firm’s top sales producers this year and a winner of Deal of the Year in all of New York. That, while filming a show fulltime and managing the team meant a non-stop schedule and very little downtime for a season, for both me and my partner. Other things had to suffer and I had to make peace with that. There will also be the seasons where I’m enjoying my flexibility and I will lean into that just as hard.
Going after what you deserve in life takes confidence and guts. What has helped you build trust in your own instincts as more opportunities come your way?
I’m a Pisces, my intuition is loud and there is so much trust there. I don’t believe everything is right for me so I am thoughtful about what I do because taking care of me in the process of my own progress is still paramount.

What’s been your “I can’t believe this is my life” moment lately?
Lately, hmmmm. A few weeks back I was scheduled with a NY news anchor that I’ve been watching on TV for about 20 or more years. I’m a fan but I also rarely share that when I was younger I thought I was going to be a nighttime news host for a period of time so I was excited. Like, she’s completely goals in my head. I was invited to her show to speak about an event I was hosting and totally fan girled. She also fan girled out on me and that was probably one of sweet NY moments, I will always remember. And a co-worker told me that Michelle Obama loves Owning Manhattan. I decided to believe him because how cool is that?
When you’re feeling insecure, afraid, or just not up to the task at hand, what gives you strength to push through anyway?
Perspective. I have to find ways to shift my perspective and the direction of my mind. The mind requires control, you can’t let it run too far. I know who I am, I know how capable I am and how much I contribute to anything that I’m a part of. I look to remind myself of this because that is the truth. Having quality relationships has also been good to keep me grounded yet completely gassed about myself. I do believe I”m dope. No matter what the moment puts me through, that is where I will always end up landing. “Girl, you are so dope”.
What’s currently on your vision board (literally or mentally)?
Sardinia and insane back muscles this Summer. My vision board is all life goals, I let the work support it.
Where do you hope to be five years from now?
Running my own company and investing in women owned businesses.
